Serving the great people of Campbell Chapel has been the apex of our 45 years of ministry. As Jesus was amazed by the faith of the Centurion, we too are amazed by the faith, zeal, commitment, diligence, and humility of this congregation. For 150 years, through more than seven generation, the members of Campbell Chapel have fed the hungry, clothed the naked, visited the sick, mourned with the bereaved, advocated for the marginalized, spoken truth to power, and preached the liberating Gospel of Jesus Christ.
During the anniversary, Campbell Chapel had the pleasure of hosting multiple distinguished guests. We are exceptionally humbled by the presence of our presiding prelate, Bishop Samuel L. Green, Sr., who served as our guest preacher at our opening worship service.
We cherished the opportunity to have our former member and current District Consultant of the Southwest Georgia Annual Conference, Reverend Donna Baker as speaker at the Grand Gala.
We equally extend our appreciation and gratitude to Congressman James E. Clyburn who completed our celebration events by delivering a thought-provoking oration at our Sunday service.
We thank our community at large for their participation, wishes, and friendship throughout this anniversary week.
As we continue our “renaissance to growth”, we invite you to join us in worship, prayer, and fellowship.
Lovingly,
Pastor Jon R. Black
