Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you; declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
Congratulations to President Trump who won the election in 2024. To win the Presidency a candidate must have 270 electoral votes to win. Our 47th President of the United States of America won the election with 312 electoral votes and 49% of the popular vote in the United States. We, the people, are now preparing for the next election.
As we move forward, the Campbell Chapel Social Action Commissioners are requesting:
Any unregistered voters, that are church members, to contact our President, Sister Claryce Gibbons-Allen. We are striving to have 100% of our church members registered to vote and ready to cast their ballot on Election Day.
The Commissioners can make it so easy for you.
If you recently relocated to Bluffton/Hilton Head/Okatie, please get your address changed at DMV and request to update/change your voting status.
The commissioners will also be assisting in registering all 18 year olds at CCAME and talking with them about, “the power of one vote”.
Our Commissioners will work to inform our church family of important proposed legislation and will familiarize our membership with government legislators in Beaufort/Jasper counties. We also want to connect with other Social Action Groups in our community to encourage unity and support for each other. We believe to win the election, we must agree and support a global cause. Community groups identified by our Commissioners to support: Beaufort A.M.E. District, LCAH, NAACP, League of Women Voters and THE Pan Hellenic Council.
Our Commissioners will plan community forums with our elective officials. We feel it is important to know our representatives and commence to hold them accountable to serve.
The work we are planning to do as CCAME Commissioners, will start at Campbell and extend into our surrounding communities.
